Bioprocess Engineer Paula Rivas joins the Research and Development Team

Press Release:

Amsterdam, Netherlands, February 9, 2024

We are growing our Research and Development team. Paula Rivas joins the team as a Bioprocess Engineer. With a robust educational background and a passion for sustainability, she is a great addition to the team. Paula will work with the team on designing, implementing and improving processes around our modular biodigesters, optimizing the production of biogas and natural fertilizers.

Paula holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy specializing in plant sciences from ETH Zurich, followed by a Masters degree in Biotechnology from Wageningen University and Research. This has equipped her with a solid foundation in biotechnology and plant sciences and makes her a valuable asset to the team and company.

While Paula’s expertise primarily lies in molecular biotechnology, her most relevant experience for her new role at The Waste Transformers stems from her internship at a leading corporate group in the international substrate industry. During her internship Paula was involved in the development of an organic fertilizer.

We are looking forward to her hands-on approach, and her deep knowledge of natural fertilizer and plant growth. With her mindset she is an ideal fit for our company’s mission to promote sustainability and innovation around on-site food waste management.

Paula’s passion for everything green fuels her desire to make a positive impact on the world. She is very eager to tackle the challenges ahead and further deepen her skills as a Bioprocess Engineer at The Waste Transformers.

We are excited to welcome Paula to our team and look forward to the valuable contributions she will make.
